Your Contribution

As an Environmental Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Instrumentation team (3-4 month contract)

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Perform Phased Environmental Site Assessments, including historical research, site inspections and soil and groundwater sampling programs;
  • Preparation of field notes, data analysis and evaluation;
  • Participate in technical report and proposal writing;
  • Develop and maintain client relationships; and,
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

Your Profile

  • College diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental related field;
  • 2 years experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, collection of soil and groundwater samples is an asset;
  • Understanding of and/or ability to learn technical labortory and field-testing procedures required;
  • Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve, tackle new assignments and multi-task in a busy work environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs;
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain Security Clearance;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for health and safety;
  • Attention to detail is a must for this position.
