The Chapman Group is delighted to be supporting our client Atlantic Windoor in finding their next Estimator to join their team. This role requires a candidate who is customer service-focused, with the ability to react and adjust to changing conditions and come up with practical solutions. The ideal candidate should be self-disciplined and self-assured as there is a demand for high quality, to be organized, and provide repeatable quality results. This employer is dedicated to investing in their employees for long-term success and will provide this role with hands-on training to ensure they have the skills to succeed.
Responsabilités
- Provide customers with timely and accurate quotes
- Provide accurate progress billing each month
- Standardizing and documenting all processes
- Communicate and follow our organizational values
- Initiate, receive, assist and provide feedback for the drawings required to complete a project
- Complete project paperwork in order for the awarded job to move forward
- Provide feedback during the execution phase
- Complete post-mortem reports
- Regular site visits to oversee the work and provide feedback to the site lead and ops team
- Communicate strategy
- Make suggestions, propose solutions, implement solutions & solve problems
- Quotes need to be accurate and timely
- Adhere to service level agreements
- Attend/participate the Scheduling Meetings
- Attend/participate in the scope/handoff meeting
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of estimation work experience is an asset but not necessary (training is provided)
- Civil Engineering Tech or Mechanical Engineering Tech or a bachelor's degree in the related fields
- Excellent interpersonal skills to act as a conduit of information between the customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Ability to effectively work with drafting department for first submittal drawings
- Aptitiude for mathematical critical thinking skills
