NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individual for the regular position of Maintenance Repair Worker. Our College is committed to transforming lives and communities. Responsabilités

Responsibilities include assisting with facilities maintenance of a routine nature involving carpentry, interior/exterior building repair including repair of roofs of buildings ; routine maintenance of heating, ventilation, and boiler systems ; assisting trades people on some repair and maintenance work, maintaining construction materials inventory and estimating costs of jobs; snow removal and grounds work as required; and directing the work of others as required.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include the completion of high school or GED and a minimum of 1-3 years' experience at the semi-skilled level in the building maintenance;or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

 The successful candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and thrive in a team environment.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education/training and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in an institutional or commercial setting.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive hourly wage for this position ranging from $17.29 - $20.94. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Canadian Union of Public Employees collective agreement (Operational Services) for the College.
