Reporting to the Manager of Summerside, the successful candidate will be responsible to perform all duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of the site/property including outdoor areas. Assist in providing excellent customer service standards and working in a team environment.
· General clean-up including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and vacuuming, and more.
· Water Plants throughout the building.
· Monitor and maintain building and exterior grounds lighting systems.
· Prepare Facility for special events, holidays, and more by ensuring that all required equipment and material are on site and in working order.
· Conduct weekly deficiency inspections of Facility and submit weekly task list to the Manager.
· Identify hazards and ensure patron safety in accordance H &S Legislation within all areas of Summerside (internally and externally) and report to the Supervisor of Security/Facilities and Manager Red Shores Summerside.
· Maintain all areas to the highest standards.
· Assist in creating an environment that is customer focused and performance driven so that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
· Use and safe handling of motorized mechanical equipment in day to day duties.
· Knowledge and safe handling of chemicals used throughout facility.
· Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Janitorial experience.
· WHMIS Training preferred.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work in a physically-demanding area.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Bilingualism is an asset.
Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of experience, training and education.
