Overview:Our client requires a qualified contractor with the skill set and experience required for an effective Technical Training & Learning Assistant. Under the direction of the Change Management Lead, the Technical Training & Learning Assistant will support solution delivery and transformation project activities working closely with the Technical Training & Learning Specialist.
What you will be doing:
  • Supports the development of learning materials.
  • Works collaboratively with the Change Management Specialist and Project Team. Members to gather and analyze technical training and learning requirements
  • Supports user acceptance testing of the solution by preparing technical training materials.
  • Coordinate the Train-the-Trainer session and prepare materials.
  • Advise and incorporate adult education and instructional design best practices and principles.
  • Review and maintain existing learning/training documentation.
  • Prepare user guides and provide learning and training courses to the users of the system and any new business processes.
  • Facilitate learning presentations and training courses to impacted stakeholders and end-users.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, briefings, minutes, or other orientation or communications as required.
  • Assists in the implementation by actively working with the users/stakeholders in the roll-out activities, specifically technical training and learning.
  • Supports the Change Management Lead in the execution of change management deliverables.
What you must have:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience applying and effectively designing and delivering end-user training for IT and business solutions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience documenting, developing, organizing, and updating learning materials for various learning modes, including virtual and in-person work environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work with learning technologies to develop content using self-authoring tools (e.g., UPerform, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.). Experience with Click Learn preferred.
  • Proven experience creating Train-the-Trainer training content and able to facilitate the session, if needed.
  • Demonstrated competencies in collaborating with project leads or subject matter experts and to ensure accuracy and relevance of content to training.
  • Able to create innovative training material that incorporates contemporary design theories and participant-focused activities and is visually stimulating.
  • Strong writing skills are needed to develop educational content for a variety of end-users.
  • Strong team player with self-discipline and motivation to work independently.
    Preference may be given to proponents who have a post-secondary degree/certificate in adult learning.
