Senior Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler

BGC Okanagan is hiring two Early Childhood Educators with their Infant Toddler Certification for our brand new multi-age Child Care Club located at North Glenmore Elementary School.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for training, supervising, supporting and mentoring other staff, volunteers and practicum students.
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children under the age of 5.
  • Ensures programs and activities offered are consistent with agency core values and core programming areas.
  • Work directly in program being a positive role model, mentor and relationship builder with children, parents, staff and volunteers.
  • Manage annual program budget
  • Complete Monthly program reports
  • Track Membership space and enrolment

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Infant Toddler Certificate with current License to Practice
  • Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Successful completion of agency screening process, including clear criminal record check

Hours: 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours booked between 7:30am-5:30pm

Rate of Pay: $29.10 per hour, plus cost shared benefits, vacation and sick time (includes ECEWE)
