Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and drive the successful execution of our projects at Spring Financial. As the Technical Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure the timely delivery of our innovative products and solutions. Your strong technical background, project management expertise, and exceptional communication skills will be instrumental in overseeing the entire project lifecycle and driving projects to completion.

NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position.

The following skills/experience are desired:

  • Strong Project Management background and demonstrated experience in delivering tech projects.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies / Scrum master in previous experience
  • Good understanding of technology team structures, and deliverables
  • Exposure/Experience to/with technologies such as (PHP, Python, NodeJS, AWS, Git, CRM platform's such as Odoo/Salesforce, etc)
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills

Role Requirements:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and executives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure project success.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide timely updates, and effectively communicate project-related information to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for risk assessment and risk management, including change management. Expose risks early and often.
  • Work closely with the Product Realization Team to develop the project plan, budget, including required resources.

Team Coordination and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Track resource allocation and provide daily/weekly status reports to management on resource utilization.
  • Identify and address resource gaps, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve project goals.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Master's degree in business administration or related field in project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in a custom software development environment.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role in software development, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proven ability to step into projects in crisis and successfully turn them around.
  • Experience in leading large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.

Good to Have

  • Prior experience with Odoo, Salesforce, Jira, Trello, GitHub.
  • Financial Services experience is desirable
  • IT industry certifications, ITIL, PRINCE2 certification, Certified ScrumMaster
