About the Role
  • Get dirty and have fun doing it!
  • Assist the Supervisor in setting up sites efficiently and safely, including vacuum hoses, pumps, and safety equipment;
  • Clean out confined spaces including waste water holding tanks, pump stations and other tanks at wastewater treatment plants and processing facilities;
  • Support and assist the Supervisor with paperwork such as Confined Space Entry Permits, Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports and all other required paperwork;
  • Driving company pickup trucks and safety trailer back and forth from job sites across Ontario, including out of town jobs that will require crew members to stay in hotels or paid accommodation;
  • Helping to promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment;
  • Working in tight confined spaces, dusty and wet environments, and in or around noisy equipment on a daily basis;
  • Work extended shifts during peak season, on call rotation for emergency response, and varying shifts including nights;
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings year round.

About You
  • Valid G or G2 license with good driving record;
  • Able to assist in minor mechanical repairs as needed;
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and previous experience working in the waste water industry are considered valuable assets;
  • Previous experience with hydraulic pumps, water pumps and associated equipment is an asset.

This opportunity includes:
  • Competitive wages starting at $22/hour;
  • Opportunity to earn $50,000 - $70,000 annually, working full time with shift premiums and overtime;
  • Full time, year-round work, 50-60 hour work weeks,
  • Comprehensive benefits plan with health, dental, vision and life insurance;
  • Opportunities to earn overtime pay, which is paid after 44 hrs. per week;
  • $150 boot allowance after one year of service;
  • Company matching RRSP-DPSP program;
  • Paid on-the-job training.
  • Per diem and paid accommodations for out of town work.
