Scheduling Coordinator

Frontline Traffic Services is a fast-growing well-established traffic control company, focused on providing traffic control services throughout Nova Scotia. We are currently looking for a full time Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing team in Dartmouth. Reporting to the Lead Scheduling Coordinator, this position plays a critical role in our operations by managing the daily schedule of several employees. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated & detail-oriented individual who has the ability to independently think through problems & provide effective solutions. Hours of work will be Monday through Friday from 5:00AM through to 1:00PM. This is a full-time summer job, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to maintain employment through the fall.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for staff with day-of scheduling issues.
  • Organize and dispatch replacement staff from standby list as required.
  • Update tickets with accurate information pertaining to shift changes.
  • Organizing and dispatching personnel, equipment and resources to customers as needed.
  • Ensuring all active jobsites have the personnel and equipment required.
  • Managing incoming customer requests for traffic control via phone, email, and text message.
  • Recording and reporting personnel policy violations to the Operations Manager as they occur.
  • Managing and maintaining an accurate count of traffic control inventory.
  • Review daily timesheets submitted by personnel for payroll and billing accuracy.
  • Support accounting staff throughout the payroll and billing process.
  • Completing and submitting weekly reports to Management.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Highly organized individual with great attention to detail.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and your own transportation to and from work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effectively able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Experienced and comfortable using computer systems, Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook).
  • A post-secondary degree/diploma and/or previous traffic control experience will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. Compensation will include health and medical benefits as well as eligibility for year-end performance bonus based on both individual and company performance. A company laptop and cell phone will also be provided.
