One of our manufacturing clients in Vancouver, BC is looking for a Project Manager for their facility.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
Establish project milestones and timelines, and regularly monitor progress against established goals.
Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote team cohesion and productivity.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and resource allocation.
Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
Proactively manage project risks by monitoring, evaluating, and implementing appropriate risk responses.
Address stakeholder concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and consensus on project objectives and priorities.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and deliverables.
Conduct regular inspections and quality reviews to verify compliance with project requirements and specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (PMP) preferred.
Proven experience in project management within the steel industry, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant experience.
Strong technical background in steel manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.).
