One of our manufacturing clients in Vancouver, BC is looking for a Project Manager for their facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

  • Establish project milestones and timelines, and regularly monitor progress against established goals.

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote team cohesion and productivity.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and resource allocation.

  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactively manage project risks by monitoring, evaluating, and implementing appropriate risk responses.

  • Address stakeholder concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and consensus on project objectives and priorities.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and deliverables.

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality reviews to verify compliance with project requirements and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (PMP) preferred.

  • Proven experience in project management within the steel industry, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant experience.

  • Strong technical background in steel manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements applicable to steel industry projects.
