PROFILE SUMMARY
The Tooling Specialist (TS) of GN Corporations Inc. (GN) must be an expert with all aspects of tool
management systems, tool selection, ongoing tool requirements, tool presetting.
Work closely with GN Management team to achieve “The Manufacturing Solution” and leading GN to
industry 4.0.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
As part of the Programs team, the TS will interact with a variety of Supervisors and employees from
different departments. GN's TS position profile includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Core Duties
a. Specific Functions
Able to work with Tool management systems with minimal supervision (TDM, PPG, EDGE Pro,
CSI, and other applicable software)
• Ensure vending item accuracy.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Be part of and promote team atmosphere.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of Operations and Programs team.
• Must be able to improve self, others, and current processes.
• Promote and lead by example GN Vision, Mission and Culture.
b. Technical Duties
• Responsible and accountable for the timely delivery of setup carts (Silver Platter) with
durable tooling, indexable tooling, and quality gauges (From Program setup sheets)
• Entering, in full, new tooling information into GN TDM Global Line Inventory system
• Responsible for delivering, storage, inspection, and qualification of quality inspection gauges
(Kardex Tower)
• Responsible for qualification, inspection, and disposition of durable and consumable tooling
upon return
• Responsible for initiating re-order process for damaged items
• Understand drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine
dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, tools to be used, for the job and setup
requirements

INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS PROFICIENCY:
In addition to GN Corporations Inc. corporate requirements and recommended industry practices, being
knowledgeable in the following regulatory and international standards requirements will be an added
asset:
1. AS9100D (Aerospace)
2. ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), I
3. ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety),
4. ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental)
5. Controlled Goods Program
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Occupational Health and Safety – Understanding and applying the GN Corporations Inc.
Health and Safety policy as well as being responsible for his/her own health and safety at work,
to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission.
• Industry Standards and Regulations – Being familiar with all relevant industry standards,
recommended practices, and regulations. Monitoring self-compliance with company, industry and
government requirements as well as promoting their acceptance in all aspects of GN's businessrelated activities.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• TDM Advanced level accreditation (Virtual Academy)
• Experience in CAD/CAM systems (SolidWorks/Esprit)
• Familiar with hand and assembly tools
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred:
• 2-4 years' experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience in CNC programming and machining
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100D, IATF 16949 is advantageous
