About the Key Account Manager Retail Role

Responsible for the delivery of business objectives within the private retail environment in British Columbia by leading the development and implementation of key account customer plans. Working collaboratively with the field sales and marketing teams, the role will implement business-building actions within head offices and in individual outlets.

Key Deliverables

  • Deliver an annual target by banner and brand
  • Deliver minimum execution standard targets by banner and brand
  • Publish a monthly scorecard by banner on key business metrics and competitive gaming
  • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships at every level
  • Beat the competition, deliver/exceed the annual plan and be the partner of choice for our customers
  • Manage customer investment within budget

  • Canadian Beverage Alcohol industry ways of working
  • Provincially mandated alcohol regulatory standards
  • Effective working knowledge of MS Powerpoint, MS Excel

Experience & Other Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of retail beverage alcohol sales experience
  • Demonstrated history of managing complex customer relationships
  • Relevant cross-functional experience (finance, sales, operations, marketing, etc.)
  • Post secondary degree in business or a related field
  • Must have valid driver's license and fully insured and reliable transportation
  • Must be of legal drinking age
  • Minimum 50% in field
  • Role location is based in Vancouver with regular travel to Vancouver Island
  • Hybrid working environment

Physical Demands

  • Frequent hand motion to perform various duties
  • Occasional immediate reaching, minimal overhead reaching to perform various duties
  • Occasional standing and occasional walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
  • Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation
