Job Description:

  • Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and weld specifications
  • Operate shop equipment as required and be familiar with general steel manufacturing practices
  • Complete all required safety measurements and quality checks
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Meet shift objectives by ensuring efficient and safe operations
  • Clean, organize and maintain work area as prescribed by Shop Foreman
  • Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards

Experience/Job Requirements:

  • Quality oriented with excellent attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Minimum 2 years practical Fitter-Welder experience
  • CWB ticket required
  • MIG Welding, Flux Core Welding
  • Must work well with others as well as independently
  • Positive attitude and willingness to earn
  • Ability to bend, crouch and lift items up to 50lbs
  • FCAW ticket an asset
  • Valid driver's license
