Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Support for all locations of SyBridge Canada
  • Perform on-site and remote technical support for Windows PCs, thin client devices, printers, PC peripherals, multi-function devices, and mobile devices.
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
  • Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
  • Provide guidance and support on software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and other business-critical software.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document all support activities, including issue resolution and troubleshooting steps, in the ticketing system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware and software assets.
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions on basic IT concepts and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), Active Directory, and networking concepts.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical end-users effectively.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Security+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
