As we continue to win new work across Canada, we are looking for an experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team. If you have experience supporting one or more Project Managers and coordinating multiple departments and site positions at the same time, we want you to apply!

The Construction Coordinator is responsible for effective project administration and operations support. Your responsibilities will include preparing, issuing, and tracking RFI's, shop drawings, change orders, and change notices; preparing schedules; participating in project meetings; and, resolving technical issues and establishing and maintaining communication between all parties, just to name a few!

What we're looking for on the resume:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, in the commercial construction industry or significant experience on-site with an aptitude for records management and operational processes
  • Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET or comparable); Engineering degree is an asset
  • The ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of the commercial construction process and the ability to participate and add value to it
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Product. Experience with Autodesk and MS Project is an asset

In the interview process we'll be looking for evidence of:

  • An understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts
  • An ability to communicate verbally; easy to follow and with confidence
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to track, evaluate and assess results of a project
  • The ability to manage internal and external contractors and trades
  • A willingness to take feedback and grow (not wilt)
  • The ability to be a pro-active self-starter, hard working, and to think ahead and anticipate other's needs
  • Experience, understanding, and demonstration of the Contract Admin process
