Job Description:

As the Yard/Shop Attendant at CBI Solar, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the yard, shop, and equipment to ensure safety for all staff and customers. Your responsibilities will involve maintaining a clean and organized environment, handling equipment efficiently, and supporting various tasks related to equipment management.

Responsibilities:

• Keep the shop and yard clean and orderly to maintain a positive appearance.
• Maintain and upkeep facility, equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Load and unload machinery and small to medium construction equipment.
• Operate equipment such as commercial pressure washers, battery chargers, and power pumps.
• Use lifts like forklifts and medium-duty equipment effectively
• Organize equipment movements efficiently for incoming and outgoing functions.
• Transfer equipment between job sites and perform light delivery work.
• Complete all necessary reports and forms accurately.
• Account for time and materials used in assigned duties.
• Follow directions from supervisors and maintain a neat work area.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations associated with facilities and equipment.
• Build constructive relationships with coworkers and contribute to effective team dynamics.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting to 50lbs and climbing in and out of equipment regularly.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
• Possess a valid driver's license (Class 1 license is preferred.)
• High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Certifications in WHMIS, forklift operation, and power mobile equipment are advantageous.
• Willingness to learn yard keeping practices and procedures.
• Basic machinery knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with equipment safety procedures.
