Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our finance team with the addition of a Finance Coordinator. The Finance Coordinator supports the finance team by helping to ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable information. This is a support role to the Accounting and Purchasing teams with no direct reports. This position will report to the Finance Leader, or designate. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices and payments daily, reconciling with purchase orders
- Reconciliation of vendor statements to payments, communicating with vendors to obtain missing invoices
- Reconciliation of company credit card statements and expenses, coordination of company credit cards
- Coordination of Amazon account
- Assisting purchasing with preparation of invoice and payment history reports
- Assisting with cheque runs, EFT/ACH payments, and bill payments
- Coordination of monthly rental and utility payments, set up of new utility accounts
- Assisting with AR invoicing, statement preparation, and collection
- Assisting with month end general ledger account reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate filing and record keeping of AP/AR information
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
The Qualifications:
- Certificate in accounting or financial principles an asset
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, quick learner, self-motivated and detail-oriented
