Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced Mechanic with a strong understanding of gas, diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems. If you recognize the importance of completing work safely and have a proven track record of excellence, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot defects in equipment and vehicles.
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and during road calls as needed.
- Troubleshoot defects in heavy-duty and light-duty trailers.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
- Install automotive accessories such as 2-way radios, GPS systems, and beacons.
- Assist with the manufacturing and assembly of in-house designed equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on changes in technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Apprentice or Journeyman mechanic in either Automative or Heavy-Duty Equipment.
- Experience with Ford, Honda, JCB, Deere, Hitachi Equipment and Dodge.
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) license is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with good problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract.
- 2 to 3 years of experience with Heavy Duty Off-Road Equipment and/or Automotive.
- Availability for 45 hours per week with overtime opportunities and occasional travel to work locations.
