We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Plumber (1st to 3rd Year). Reporting to the Electrical & Controls General Manager, the successful candidate will be a team player, exemplify our core values, and have a strong commitment to site safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, with team or with other trades
  • Perform duties assigned by the Journeyperson
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems
  • Install electrical equipment and run cables
  • Ensure that work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Registered as an apprentice with provincial/territorial regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous electrical experience, preferably on commercial / institutional work sites.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety guidelines when working with power sources.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics preferred.
  • A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, Level 1 First Aid.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Willing to work out of town on rotations.
