Our client, a long-time local manufacturer, is looking for a General Labourer to join their Label Department! Our client produces a variety of refinishing and repair products for automotive application.
This role will be responsible for labeling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order. This is manual work, you must be able to lift 35 pounds, and read/write/understand English fluently.
This position will start as soon as possible. You will start on day shift to train, then transferring to the night shift. For the right person, you will be trained for the night shift Team Leader position, with subsequent wage increase.
Salary:
$19.00 per hour, temporary to permanent.
Hours of Work:
(Training) Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
(Upon move to night shift) Monday - Wednesday, 4:30pm - 5:30am
Responsibilities

• Safely labeling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order.
  
• Interpreting and creating paperwork related to the order.
  
• Communication with team members about requirements and quality to ensure smooth operation.
  
• Routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment.
  
• With attention to detail, checking labels to ensure accuracy.
  
• General help with other tasks as needed.
  

Requirements

• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a strong asset.
  
• To move to the night shift as Team Leader, you must have or obtain a mobile equipment license.
  
• Must have strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  
• Comfort level with completing a lot of paperwork.
  
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
  
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  
• Demonstrable work ethic and reliability.
  
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
