Job purpose

As the Human Resource Generalist at Simaril Supported Living, you play a vital role in providing professional leadership and oversight for the Human Resource function. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring a seamless recruitment experience, developing comprehensive orientation programs, and addressing employee concerns to promote a positive workplace culture. In addition, you contribute to continuous improvement by identifying training needs, overseeing performance management, ensuring legal compliance, and actively participating in the digitalization and optimization of HR processes.

Duties and responsibilities

Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.

Assist house leaders in managing team's performance and conducting coaching or motivation meetings.

Develop all related paperwork, written coaching plans and documentation for processing and completion.

Problem-solve with employees and managers up to the highest level of discipline before termination.

Training and Development: Identify training needs and organize training sessions.

Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes and manage performance improvement plans.

Recruitment and Staffing: Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate interviews.

Facilitate the hiring process to ensure a seamless recruitment experience.

Onboarding: Develop and implement comprehensive orientation programs for new employees.

Conduct new employee orientations, providing information on company policies and benefits.

Policy Development and Compliance: Stay informed about labor laws and regulations.

Ensure the organization's compliance with legal requirements.

Employee Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate employee records. Handle documentation related to employment status changes.

Workplace Safety: Help implement safety programs and conduct safety training. Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Employee Recognition Programs: Help develop and implement recognition programs to acknowledge employee achievements and milestones.

Employee Exit Processes: Help conduct exit interviews and manage the offboarding process.

Analyze turnover data for continuous improvement.

Digitalization and Process Optimization: Assist in streamlining data management, including employee records.

Identify repetitive tasks for automation and implement workflows for processes like onboarding and time tracking.

Assist in transitioning to a paperless document management system and provide training to leaders and employees.

Analyze workforce data to make informed decisions and optimize HR strategies.

Contribute to improving employee engagement and satisfaction.

Implement digital platforms for employee recognition programs.

Social Media: Managing company's social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Qualifications:

Post-graduate education in Human Resource Management.

Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on continuous improvement in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think outside of the box and bring forward initiatives to improve HR processes.

Experience adapting to a dynamic work environment.

Ability to multitask.

Familiarity with HRIS, automated workflows, and digital platforms is a plus.

CPHR designation in progress is preferred.
