As Highstreet's Site Superintendent, you will lead and manage the on-site construction team, and oversee all work on site. The Site Superintendent is responsible for schedule and budget execution, orderliness on site and compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met, scheduling is on track, roadblocks are removed for our trade partners and all equipment and materials are readily available on site. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage construction team, sub trades, and suppliers by providing guidance and leadership
  • Develop and execute project work plans based on budget and adhering to schedule work flow and roadblock removal
  • Accountable for overall safety of project
  • Accountable for overall quality of the project
  • Accountable for overall site cleanliness
  • Accountable for project handover

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Highstreet is looking for a highly motivated and self-aware individual who is able to lead by example, coach their team effectively and perpetuate Highstreet's culture and values. Top candidates will be strong leaders, pro-active, organized, great communicators, accountable and perform well under pressure. We view our trade partners as integral to our success and our Site Superintendent will strive to constantly strengthen and build the relationship with our trades. To ensure success the project teams collaborate to complete projects on time and within budget, and never compromise on quality or safety.

Required experience:

  • 5-9 years in site supervision role on multi-family residential or commercial job site.
  • In-depth knowledge of building trades, superior communication and motivational skills and an ability to monitor and drive project progress.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management principles.
  • Knowledge and training related to Lean Construction Methodology is an asset.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook is required. Microsoft Teams experience is an asset.
  • Bluebeam experience is an asset.
  • Be able to read and interpret plans, specs, and regulations.
