Purpose and Key Focus
Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, injury prevention, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed. You will exercise independence, judgment and initiative by logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems that arise on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid and emergency support to ill or injured employees or contractors.
- Assess the extent of injuries or illness to determine the course of medical treatment.
- Document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided.
- Maintain, disinfect and re-stock the MTC.
- Perform unit and site inspections in compliance with Infinity Industrial health and safety plan.
- Liaise with nearby fire centres as needed to coordinate patient care and transfers.

Core Competencies
- Experience working in a remote camp with limited in-person support.
- Comfortable travelling on small aircrafts.
- Ability to maintain composure, be firm, reassuring, and efficient in emergency situations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey medical information.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner.
- Good physical condition (must be able to complete the Fitness Test of 2.25 Km walk with 20lbs in 20 minutes).
- With safety being our top priority, strict adherence to Infinity's Zero-Tolerance Policy towards drugs and alcohol is a condition of employment.
- Following Public Health requirements in BC, adherence to COVID protocols is a condition of employment.
- Good physical condition (must be able to complete the Fitness Test of 2.25 Km walk with 20lbs in 20 minutes).

Education & Experience
- S100/S185 or S100A
- Proof of Current OFA Level 3 Certificate
- Proof of BC EMA Licensing for EMR or PCP
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence & Current (within 30 days) Drivers Abstract
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with little supervision and the ability to take initiative
