Fraser Valley Fire Protection is a full-service company that has been providing fire protection in British Columbia since 1977and offer sales and service of fire and life safety equipment. This includes fire extinguishers, emergency lighting units, fire alarm systems, wet and dry sprinkler systems, kitchen suppression systems, backflow preventers and fire hydrants. As well as fire alarm & security system monitoring services and fire safety plans.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of electrical standards for installation and repairs of Fire Alarm Systems
- Aptitude for mathematics and science
- Creative and logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to understand specification documents
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team
- Interest in the latest techniques and technology involved in the electrical trade and fire alarm industry
Job Description:
- New installations, repairs and replacements of various electrical equipment. Such as: emergency lighting fixtures, exit sign fixtures, fire alarm panels, electrical control and distribution equipment.
- Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors
- Connect electrical power to signalling devices
- Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
- Assist coworkers as needed
Applicants must be able to work as an electrician in the province of British Columbia. Proof of certification will be required.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The chosen applicant will be eligible for overtime and would in time be expected to join our after hours on-call rotation.
