Tritech Group Ltd. is looking for a permanent, full-time Excavator/Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a great role for someone who likes detailed work and is diligent and deliberate. The ideal candidate is also a team player and willing to roll up their sleeves and help the ground crew when not operating equipment.

This role requires travel within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions to our different job sites, so the successful candidate must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid BC driver's license.

Job Responsibilities

At Tritech, we aim to provide opportunities that effectively utilize the skills of our team members and provide variety in day-to-day tasks.

The job responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Operating equipment to complete trenching, excavation, backfilling, and fine grading.
  • Documenting daily logs for all inspections and maintenance work done on equipment.
  • Communicating with ground crews using hand signals and voice.
  • Cleaning & lubricating equipment.
  • Refilling equipment tanks.
  • Performing pre-operational inspections, hazard assessments, and safety checks.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assisting ground crews when not operating equipment.
  • Being accountable, responsible & taking ownership.
  • Being safety conscious and following safety policies and procedures.
  • Providing a safe work environment through continuous training and development.
  • Operating with honesty, integrity, and respect.

Requirements

  • Experience operating excavators.
  • Ability and willingness to perform physical labor activities, such as assisting with installing water and sewer lines and prefabricated structures, and pipelaying.
  • Willingness to travel within the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland regions of BC.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Experience driving/operating dump trucks and flat-deck trucks is an asset.
  • Experience driving/operating crane trucks is an asset.
  • A valid BC driver's license is required, class 3 or 1 is an asset.
