What You'll Do:

• Landscaping and/or maintenance of property using hand or power tools or equipment.
• Lead and/or assist in maintenance and handyman work.
• Care for established lawns, bushes, trees, and plants.
• Disposes of trash and debris, hauls or spreads topsoil, rake leaves
• Responsible for directing work of JR Summer Yard Maintenance members.
• Make improvements to walks, lanes, sheds, and benches, including painting and minor repairs.
• Use of hand tools, and vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
• Pick up litter around premises.
• Shovel and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as footpaths, roofs, sidewalks, and entryways as required.
• Assist in the maintenance of parking lots and other surfaces.

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

• Be 17 years of age or older at time of hire.
• Valid driver's license
• Legally permitted to work in Canada.
• Available for start of May 1, 2024 (Weekends until school ends, then full time until returning to school)
• Preferred Major and course work: Maintenance, Construction or Landscaping
• Returning to attendance at college or university after completion of their summer employment
