Job Description

To ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property.

  • Monitor property through foot patrols and watching security footage and observe, report, and follow up on safety and security concerns
  • Respond to and manage all emergencies including fire, medicals, and any potential threats to people or property
  • Maintain order in the hotel, including the on-site staff accommodations
  • Follow protocols and the law when responding to situations involving drugs and alcohol
  • Document through written reports all incidents, events, and actions taken
  • Follow up and investigate complaints and incidents
  • Assist other departments as necessary
  • Authorized to make any decisions necessary to effectively deal with security concerns and/or emergency situations
Qualifications
  • Previous security experience
  • Alberta security license issued under the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act
  • Current First Aid and CPR level C certification
  • Alberta Class 5 driver's license and driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerits
  • Clean criminal record
