RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and prepare shop designs and cut files from preliminary concepts, sketches.
• Attention to detail to create error free documents.
  
• Respond in a timely manner to issues that may surface during fabrication and installation regarding the fabrication and shop drawings.
• Promptly make all quality control corrections required upon return of previously performed work.
• Keep any and all drawings organized and up to date in electronic libraries.
• Work with PMs and Production Manager for fabricating information, ensuring all deadlines are met and product is to specs.
• Revise shop drawings per internal review and be responsible to keep track of the revisions.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
• Willingness to work side by side with fabrication department during training to learning materials and processes of manufacturing various sign types.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects.
  
• Know and understand the design criteria and special instructions for specific projects.
  
• Skilled with hand, power tools, and equipment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong organizational & communication skills. Able to follow complex tasks.
• Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  
• WHMIS 2015
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in design and preference given to experience in sign industry, but we will train the right candidate.
• Very good knowledge of software like CorelDRAW
• Exceptional knowledge of Solidworks
• Previous sign knowledge considered an asset.
