What is the Opportunity?

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for collaborating with operations management team to develop a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls while meeting agreed upon targets and promoting Ovivo Canada, FilterBoxx.

The role is based in our Calgary Office, will enjoy a Hybrid office schedule and will require roughly 25% travel when required.

What is the role?

  • Performing sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts in consultation with the operations management team.
  • Pursuing new clients while maintaining positive relationships with existing clients
  • Recommending ways to establish and maintain good working relationships with current, new or potential clients and customers.
  • Networking and gather industry information with leading sales professionals outside of Filterboxx
  • Reviewing weekly and monthly goals with management team
  • Maintaining an organized agenda while prioritizing time spent with clients and internal company meetings and networking events.
  • Promoting services and policies in all the regions we work and potential new areas of growth.
  • Evaluating client prospects and manage existing client relationships and sales.
  • Managing assigned areas and services to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of the Filterboxx range of services and capabilities.
  • Keeping operations management team informed of all relevant activity.

Does this sound like you?

  • 10 years experience in the CDN Oil & Gas industry
  • Must have contacts and sales success within the Canadian Oil and Gas, Drilling & Completions sector
  • Additional industrial contacts in Mining, Construction, and Remote Accommodations considered an asset
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with Salesforce and related platforms
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations in small and large groups.
  • Proven ability to be a self-motivated team player.
