Registered Professional Forester
Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) is a multi-discipline company, providing natural resource management consulting to the BC forest industry, governments (First Nations, Federal, Provincial, and Municipal), and private landowners. We also provide resource-based construction and marine services to clients across western Canada. Our clients rely on us to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions and provide high-quality service with a focus on safety and the protection of environmental and cultural values.
Landmark is based in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, on Shuswap Lake and the area offers a wide variety of year-round outdoor activities.
We are currently looking to add a Forester to our team, with the opportunity for the individual to grow within our Natural Resources Department and other sectors of the Landmark business. The workload involves both field and office components.
The ideal candidate for the position possesses the following assets and qualifications:
- Registered or immediately eligible to be registered as a Professional Forester with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia,
- Ability to prepare and support in the development of stumpage appraisals, site plans, harvesting plans, forest tenure applications, referrals and other operational deliverables,
- Experience in timber development, field engineering and assessments,
- Working knowledge of BC forest legislation,
- Experience working with First Nations.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to drive safely in a variety of road conditions,
- Ability to provide safety leadership and direction by guiding safety improvement and ensuring adherence to Landmark safety policies, procedures, and practices,
Compensation
- Wage ranges from $32 to $38 per hour based on skill level, qualifications, and experience,
