Our Supply Chain Team is expanding, and we are looking for a Transportation & Logistics Specialist!
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for leading inbound & outbound transportation systems focused on a few key areas; Leadership, Transportation & Vendor Management, Customs Compliance, Performance Monitoring & Reporting, Strategic Planning, and Continuous Improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Vendor Management, Strategic Planning, Team Leadership

  • Lead and drive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and service level improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize our supply chain and meet organizational objectives.
  • Analyze processes, identify and implement areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate across departments (procurement, production, sales) to align logistics activities with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize transportation processes and improve efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in transportation and logistics management in a enterprise level manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • A strong knowledge of transportation regulations & industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics software & tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS),
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • APICS and or CPIM certifications would be an asset.
