Veres Career is searching for a highly experienced commercial insurance professional to be the Sales and Operations Manager of a new location of a well-established brokerage in downtown Toronto.

This job will require more of you than expert knowledge of commercial insurance - although you will need to know your stuff!

As Sales and Operations Manager, your main focus will be on creating & leading a dynamic, deep, engaged team and creating client results, you'll be coaching & mentoring to ensure that your team is helping reach overall business goals.

In addition to being a powerful & inspiring leader, you'll need to maintain an awareness of what's going on in the industry and the rest of the company as you'll be a key part of our future strategies as we evolve in response to changes in risks, our buyers, and the competition.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and overseeing the brokerage Commercial Lines operations.
  • Attracting & retaining talent to your team while working with them to drive results.
  • Coaching & mentoring members of your team
  • Ensuring that your team reaches overall new business, rate & retention goals while working with the rest of the business to support future strategies.

What's Required of You

  • 10+ years of commercial insurance experience
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement change within an organization to support long-term strategies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Periodic travel to visit key accounts & Branch Offices
  • CIP, CAIB, or equivalent designation preferred
  • Experience with claims & underwriting is a plus
