Overview:The Senior Business Analyst maintains operational excellence of the application lifecycle of business information systems. This role contributes to the implementation of a Weld Quality Management System by designing and developing new system functionalities to suit our client's growing needs. The Senior Business Analyst combines knowledge and expertise to guide business information systems strategies and supports the end users and team members to ensure strong user adoption and business outcomes.
What you will be doing:
  • Resolves production issues and identifies trends or root cause behaviors for recurring application issues or integration errors to ensure business system operational excellence.
  • Provides end-user support and builds strong relationships through incident resolution, request prioritization and delivery, system user training, and process change management.
  • Performs regular preventative system maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes and anti-virus software.
  • Documents system usage and collaborates on knowledge transfer to super-users and process owners.
  • Documents business process and maintains the documentation updates.
  • Translates the solution architecture and detailed requirements into technology solutions.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the business function and establishes a strong super user community.
  • Leads initiatives to develop new system functionality and deliver system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Leads testing of new functionality including development of test strategy. Coordinates testing resources and prepares test completion metrics for test script execution.
  • Initiates and leads process improvement activities. Advocates for change and provides mentorship to the team.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
What you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, application development and support, operations support, and service desk, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in both on-premise and SaaS applications development.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining interfaces for both on-premise and SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Knowledge and technical expertise with enterprise level systems
  • Technical knowledge of programming languages and relational databases, such as .Net, Java, C#, SharePoint, Oracle and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of welding technologies considered an asset
  • Ability to lead a technical team through a process and systems change.
