Westerner Park is seeking an Human Resources Assistant summer student to join our team as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program! Here's what you'll be doing:

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the Workforce function including both HR and Volunteer support
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Workforce business unit
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
• Update and maintain the Workforce SharePoint and respective documents
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations etc.)
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes
• Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Communicate with public services when necessary
• Coordinate communication with candidates, pre-screen, and schedule interviews
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes
• Assist with recruitment and sourcing candidates and updating our database And more!

Is this you? Here's what we're looking for:

• Attending a business related post secondary program, or a recent graduate, preferably with a Human Resources focus, is an asset
• Human Resources experience is an asset
• Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite
• A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude
• Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program

Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per Hour
Affiliation: Out of Scope
