This role required a highly independent style of work within a larger project team. The QA/QC Coordinator key responsibilities are:

- monitoring the quality of work performed by construction personnel

- overseeing directly or indirectly the activities of various fabricators, vendors and work teams to ensure the constructed asset meets the expected specifications and overall quality requirements

- to review and approve all inspection and test plans provided by contractors

- for reviewing each construction contractor's quality management plan at the start of construction

- monitoring the quality control program throughout construction and ensures the inspection and test plan is followed for the work

- actively managing and coordinating construction deficiencies with the CMT and contractor personnel

- coordinating construction turnover at the end of the construction phase

The work schedule is two weeks in, two weeks out 11 hours a day.

Salary: Open to wage negotiations based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson in E&I or Mechanical (Preference for E&I but Mechanical will be considered)
  • Must have 4+ years working in a similar role
  • Working knowledge and general experience with electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of codes and standards applicable to industrial construction
  • Good understanding of quality systems, processes and best practices
  • Proficient with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
