Overview

An Account Executive is responsible for professional services sales to achieve both company and personal quotas. Responsibilities include developing marketing plans that provide leads, managing assigned accounts, and understanding customers' business issues and design strategies. This individual has advanced knowledge of the Public Sector (State, Local & Public Utilities) vertical and SaaS software applications in that industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prospecting in the assigned territory to achieve a qualified pipeline.
  • Responsible for coordinating closely with Salesforce counterparts, solution consultants, technical consultants, business development representatives, and proposal management to maximize Cloud SynApps's revenue from customers and prospects in the assigned territory.
  • Nurture the customer by providing value-added solutions and services.
  • Update and maintain the Salesforce CRM database and provide accurate weekly reports reflecting territory and pipeline status.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree: 4-year BS or BA, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a proven sales performer in the professional services or SaaS software solutions industry, with a track record of nurturing and selling to new customers and existing customer base, as well as meeting and exceeding quota targets.
  • Demonstrated experience selling into the Public Sector vertical, with experience in enterprise-level professional services solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a direct contributor carrying an individual quota.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving quota in an enterprise sales environment.
  • Ability to establish and manage executive-level customer relationships.
  • Leadership capability to the quarterback and lead a team of selling resources to develop winning strategies to secure new business.
  • Willingness to Travel in the assigned territory.

  • Demonstrated past performance of selling into a net new territory.
  • Ability to establish and manage executive-level customer relationships.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix-management environment with extended team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing, and presenting.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving quota in enterprise-level technology sales.
  • Build and maintain partnerships in the territory with vendors to create winning teams.
  • Ability to present technical concepts in a clear manner to prospects and sales resources.
  • Ability to resolve and solve complex business issues.
