Position Overview:

The Quality Control/ Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for playing a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of our products. You will lead and oversee the Quality Control (QC) team, setting high standards and implementing best practices in quality testing and compliance. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for maintaining a rigorous quality management system, adhering to regulatory requirements, and upholding the company's commitment to excellence.

Please find the key responsibilities of the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager as follows:

• Lead and manage the Quality department, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control systems, procedures, and protocols to ensure product safety, potency, and efficacy.
• Oversee and execute testing programs for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D), Production, and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure timely release of products while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits of the Quality processes and laboratory operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance with Health Canada, FDA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Manage and maintain the Quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), analytical methods, and laboratory records.
• Coordinate and respond to any product quality issues or customer complaints, conducting thorough investigations and implementing preventative measures.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external laboratories, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in quality control activities.
• Implement training programs for Quality personnel, ensuring their competency and proficiency in quality testing methods and equipment.
• Continuously monitor and analyze Quality data, generating reports and presenting findings to senior management and relevant teams.

An ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a quality control role within the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of leading and managing a QC team, driving process improvements, and achieving quality objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and analytical techniques used in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, GMP, and industry guidelines pertaining to quality control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality control software.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently.
