Job Summary:
As a Snow Removal Driver, you will be responsible for transporting the snow removal team on route, to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and walkways. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions to provide efficient and reliable snow removal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and follow planned snow removal routes.
- Assist the snow removal team where needed.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Monitor weather forecasts and be prepared to respond to snow and ice removal requests in a timely manner.
- Plow, shovel, or apply de-icing agents to maintain safe and clear paths on roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
- Follow established routes and schedules to provide timely and effective snow removal services.
- Communicate with the dispatch team and supervisor to report completed jobs and receive new assignments.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to minimise the risk of accidents during snow removal operations.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including time logs, equipment usage, and materials applied.
- Provide assistance to other team members as needed, including assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment and ensure that equipment is properly stored when not in use.
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients and the public.
Requirements:
- Must have a full Canadian drivers licence and compensation at the posted rate includes using your own heavy duty vehicle. (ie. pickup truck)
- Knowledge of safe snow and ice removal techniques and familiarity with local regulations and ordinances related to snow removal.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on snow removal equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Work Conditions:
This role will require you to work in all weather conditions outside. Locations of work may vary within Metro Vancouver. Sourcing your own means of transportation to and from your working location will be required. You will be required to be on-call.

Salary: $40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience
