Description:

The Milling and 3D Printing Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers, milling machines and any related equipment and software designed for manufacturing of the dental prosthetics. This role will be responsible for identifying the need for equipment repairs and software updates while developing, maintaining, and improving processes/workflows.

If you have a Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent), together with strong passion for 3D printing and milling, we want to hear from you!

General Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains milling machines and 3D printers
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task
  • Review milling and printing strategies to ensure precision and efficiency, adjusting settings as necessary
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
  • Monitors production
  • Maintains inventory of materials required for production and maintenance of systems
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation and department
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
  • Practical understanding of various manufacturing methods such as CNC machining and 3D printing
  • Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership of the role and responsibilities
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in math
  • Basic computer skills
