WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the Forestry Supervisor will be responsible for implementing the Forsite Health and Safety Program as well as assisting with scheduling, supervision, training, quality control and providing direction to a production crew.

The Forestry Supervisor will support the Assistant Manager in the preparation of project level budgets and plans and will work closely with other Managers and Forestry Supervisors to effectively deliver projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
  • Registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT;
  • A minimum of 8 years of operational forestry experience in British Columbia;
  • A minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia;
  • Solid understanding of, and experience in, operational planning (cut block/road development processes). Experience using LiDAR for forest development planning would be an asset;
  • A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia; and
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
