We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Production Supervisor to join our Plant Operations Team on our Afternoon Shift. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with BRC's motivated and engaging Team where inclusivity, diversity, and positive work experiences are our top priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, motivate and coach production team members to ensure quality standards and production schedule objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Plan and establish daily work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet daily production targets.
  • Monitor productivity throughout the shift and adjust tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met, and resources are used efficiently. Prepare production reports on a timely basis.
  • Ensure all staff is trained and cross trained in various roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, guidelines, and BRC policies. Ensure all Team Members are working safety.
  • Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WSIB protocols, and other health and safety regulations, as necessary.
  • Actively engage in the hiring process for new Team Members. Proactively manage poor performance in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Implement 5S initiatives.
  • Support Team Leaders and Team Members in the implementation of new products through regular meetings and training.
  • Provide support to team members as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of secondary school diploma; ideally has a college diploma and/or a Supervisory Certificate.
  • Ideally has Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a furniture or store fixture environment.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of production experience or relevant experience working in a similar environment and position. Knowledge of the manufacturing operations and techniques including Lean and 5S.
  • Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ideally, knowledgeable of ERP/Database programs.
  • Proficiency in use of hand tools
  • Ability to achieve results and perform work with energy and drive.
  • Able to work overtime as required
