Our client administered a program for the provision of workplace services and related technology to the BC Health Organizations. Their objective is to enhance the capability of the Health Authorities (HA) to leverage technology (desktop and managed support services) to systemically improve health services across the province of BC.
They are seeking a qualified Senior-level Project Manager to provide project management related support/services.
What you will be doing:
  • Provide senior leadership to core program management work streams (i.e. SSP, I&T, Service Management Delivery, plus others as required).
  • Supervise a Business Analyst and works closely with Project Coordinator to ensure core program/project artifacts and deliverables are produced and maintained (e.g. charters, RAID Logs, SharePoint Document repository, etc.).
  • Develop and manage various project plans, inclusive of: key deliverables / milestones, critical path tasks, project dependencies/interdependencies, etc. and ensures all changes/updates are managed and progress is tracked and communicated against the plan(s).
  • Apply best practice project management methodology(s).
  • Execute project plan according to client's project methodologies, ensuring successful and coordinated completion of all project components.
What you have:
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline.
  • A minimum of seven (7) year's recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
  • Meet the criteria for a senior-level Project Manager.
  • Experience or working knowledge of quality improvement methodology, change management and chronic disease management is key to the success of this role.
  • Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community.
  • Computer literacy with word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.
  • Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset.
