Cleaver-Brooks Canada Packaged Boiler Systems, a leading manufacturer of boilers and energy recovery systems, has multiple openings for Industrial Pipefitter Assemblers on their second shift Monday to Thursday 4:00pm-2:00am. Overtime is available through the week and double time on Friday is offered. These positions are open at their facility located at 161 Lorne Avenue, West, Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

As an Industrial Pipefitting Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and installing pipes and related components according to specifications in various industrial settings. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Requirements:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and assembly procedures.
  • Measure and cut pipes to required lengths using various tools such as pipe cutters, saws, and torches.
  • Thread, groove, bend, and shape pipes using manual or powered tools and machines.
  • Clean, deburr, and prepare pipe ends.
  • Install and secure pipes in position by using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  • Assemble and install pipe fittings, valves, and other components such as pumps and compressors.
  • Inspect and test installed systems for leaks, pressure, and alignment.
  • Perform repairs or modifications to existing pipe systems as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in pipefitting is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Pipefitting Assembler or a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficient in cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
  • Familiarity with different types of pipes (e.g., steel,) and their appropriate applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Hours of Work:

Full time, Second Shift Monday to Thursday 4:00pm-2:00am with possible overtime.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible or no exposure
