Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity for a talented and entrepreneurial candidate who enjoys the structure of an established firm but also the flexibility and career growth opportunities of a smaller group. You will partner directly with our EVP to implement our growth strategy.

The successful candidate will act as a Qualified Person (QP) and possess a Professional Engineers (P.Eng.) license in Ontario.

Core responsibilities

  • Conduct and/or oversee ESAs, subsurface investigations, remediation work, and/or other project assignments as appropriate.
  • Prepare and senior review proposals, detailed ESA, and/or other technical assessment reports including ensuring accurate data/summary tables and/or figures.
  • Coordinate work activities for multiple project functions to ensure satisfying delivery.
  • Prepare and senior review Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses for sites.
  • Actively participate in Account Management and Business Development program to engage with procure new clients.
  • Manage projects to meet milestones, budgetary limits, deadlines, regulatory requirements, or other performance indicators. Responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle: planning, scope definition, budgeting, coordination, execution, and delivery.
  • Select and/or manage project staff members and subcontractors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, including due diligence and O. Reg. 153/04 frameworks.
  • Strong track record of business development - acquiring new and expanding existing clients – transferrable book of business strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience conducting Property Condition Assessments is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Excellent project management skills from proposal to close-out
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

The target salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000 CAD - commensurate with experience. Higher salary and/or title will be considered for candidates who have a strong bsuienss development background and transferrable book of business.
