About Us

Intrepid Health Solutions (IHS) is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant (with compounding experience) who is motivated to learn and advance their career in pharmacy! Working with the pharmacy's compounding, intake and specialty team in Brampton, the incumbent will contribute to the provision of a multitude of high complexity specialty medications for our patients.

About the Role

The Pharmacy Assistant performs a variety of duties and supports the Pharmacy team to facilitate the efficient operations at the pharmacy.

Here is how we will support you;

  • Weekly one on ones with your manager to chat through deliverables, progress and professional development
  • Cross-functional, strategically important project participation
  • Training and professional development.

In this role you will be responsible for;

Administration

  • Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports, and presentations, setting up for meetings
  • Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare invoices where required
  • Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
  • Processing of prescriptions
  • Data entry
  • Packing deliveries
  • Arranging for shipments
  • Adjudication of prescriptions
  • Placing order for supplies/medications
  • Follow up on billings issues

General/Other

  • Provide support and assistance to the Line Manager as required.
  • Willingness to learn and open to change (all training to be completed)
  • High level of accuracy and diligence in all activities performed.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

  • pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
  • Kroll software: 1 year (preferred)
  • Compounding experience is mandatory

  • Candidates must demonstrate communication & organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, computer literacy, time management skills and initiative.
