Summary:
As Certarus continues to grow our sales team is looking for a new Technical Field Sales Representative to join our winning team. This position will help to develop the future growth strategy with Propane, CNG, and RNG sales in the Northern Alberta, Northeast BC region.
The successful candidate will demonstrate industry leading outside sales management skills and is responsible for maximizing revenue by creating, managing, and implementing best in class sales development activities to maximize growth. This position will require collaboration with our engineering and operations teams to help provide solutions for our customers.
Schedule:
  • The schedule follows normal business hours, with extra work hours when required.
  • Frequent, regular travel to Certarus and customer locations throughout Northern Alberta and Northeast BC is expected.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Achieve volume and margin sales targets for propane and compressed natural gas to commercial and industrial markets.
  • Develop strong relationships with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and client loyalty.
  • Foster strong relationships with local Indigenous communities which could evolve into partnerships.
  • Work closely with operations and support functions to recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements.
  • Understand negotiations and profitability analysis processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or commensurate experience
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in oil and gas services, fuel distribution and/or industrial operations or sales.
  • Prior experience with oilfield services, mining, forestry, utility, power generation, road construction and/or other industrial sectors is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting the development and delivery of new products.
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring relationship development.
  • Understanding of and prior experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to manage relationships and interact with all levels.
  • Experience developing and implementing a pricing strategy.
  • Experience in negotiating contract terms, i.e., T&Cs, NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Supply Agreements, etc.
