Are you a skilled organizer with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We're seeking a Maintenance Planner to play a pivotal role in our client's organization's upkeep. They are a global manufacturing company looking to fill this role in their Calgary operations.
Responsibilities
- Panning and coordinating schedules, materials, and labour to maintain our physical assets.
- Ensuring all day-to-day and preventative maintenance needs are met through effective leadership
- Overseeing the service and maintenance of equipment and critical systems within our plan
- Conducting job costing activities and meticulously tracking annual maintenance budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Serving as the primary liaison between maintenance, engineering, and production teams, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
- Engaging in discussions regarding long-term plant objectives and actively contributing to strategic maintenance plans to support organizational goals.
- Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives within plant processes, fostering efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinating the activities of third-party contractors to ensure timely and high-quality maintenance services.
- Collaborating with the supply chain and procurement teams to guarantee the availability of materials and spare parts for maintenance tasks, while also focusing on minimizing the total cost of ownership.
- Implementing strategies to minimize waste and reduce plant mechanical downtime, thereby enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or relevant trades within a maintenance department.
- Preferably, experience in a batch or continuous line manufacturing environment.
- Previous exposure to the CMMS function of SAP or similar maintenance software is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in setting goals, establishing priorities, and devising action plans and strategies aligned with organizational needs.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully executing preventative and systematic maintenance programs.
- Ability to prepare and deliver recommendations effectively to colleagues and decision-makers.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills are a must.
- The ideal candidate should be highly organized, articulate, and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
