We are looking for a Electrical Foreman to join our team in the lower mainland.

This is a full-time position with opportunities to further your career.

The ideal candidate will be detailed, diligent, and deliberate, they will be supportive and helpful by nature, accountable and able to work independently, and thrive in fast-paced construction environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Review BOM, plans, schematics and wiring drawings
  • Interpret electrical code specifications.
  • Gather materials and tools
  • Install and wire building electrical systems including lighting, receptacles, fire and security panels, etc.
  • Install cable tray, pull and terminate cables
  • Install control panels, MCCs, VFDs and instrumentation
  • Test equipment and components for current, continuity and voltage.
  • Troubleshoot industrial control systems and devices.
  • Be accountable, responsible & take ownership.
  • Mentor and assign work to apprentices
  • Provide a safe work environment through continuous training and development.
  • Operate with honesty, integrity and respect and maintain a client focus.

Skills and Requirements

  • Certified Construction and/or Industrial Electrician.
  • Certified Instrumentation and Controls Technician is an asset.
  • Min. 5 years experience in industrial construction preferred if in water/wastewater construction industry .
  • Previous Foreman experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience with the installation and wiring of: MCCs, VFDs & Motor Controls; Cable Tray; Teck Cable; PLC Panels; Instrumentation; and Conduits
  • Intra-provincial certification (Red Seal) or Master Electrician certification is a asset
  • FSR A and medium/high voltage experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Enjoy physically demanding work in industrial/construction environments.
  • Highly organized and motivated to carry out a variety of duties.
  • Functions well in a changing environment and willing to learn on and off the job.
  • Aptitude to problem solve and think “outside the box”.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment, willing to push self and others to meet schedules.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Current WHMIS, First Aid, Confined Space and CSTS Training.
  • Willing to travel to various sites, as required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
