Housekeeper Position

Mount Mary Immaculate Retreat Centre is looking for a part-time (roughly 16-24 hours/week) Housekeeper. Reporting to the Director of Youth and Retreat Ministries, this position offers a competitive rate of pay and requires a commitment to work the outlined hours with some flexibility when needed.

Primary responsibilities

• Housekeeping duties include maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings, laundering linens and cleaning various areas of buildings
• Completing tasks such as sweeping and moping floors, cleaning washrooms and removing garbage
• Clean dining rooms and other areas where groups may stay
• Promote hand hygiene for staff and attendees by ensuring accessible sanitizer, and stocking hand sinks with soap and paper towels
• Ensure environmental surfaces are frequently cleaned and disinfected between groups
• Assist other cleaning and cooking staff when needed

Requirements

• Education: high school or equivalent
• Well developed cleaning skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
