Construction Labourer – Atlantic Road Construction & Paving

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are looking to hire energetic, hardworking Construction Labourers to join our growing team for the upcoming 2024 season. We have lots of exciting projects on the go and coming up soon in the HRM area! If you have a go getter attitude and are not afraid of hard work, we want to hear from you!

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
• Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Posses manual dexterity, ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively & traverse over rough terrain.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Previous experience as a labourer or construction labourer an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading construction materials.
• Thoroughly inspect tools and equipment daily.
• Perform a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
• Possibility of working in confined spaces such as trenches, manholes etc.
• Participate in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings every morning.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foremen.
• Other various construction related tasks as instructed.
